I think Spring has finally declared war on Winter.  There may be battles ahead, but it’s coming.  Even if the grass isn’t green, it seems like everything from beer to bread is!  This week I am relying on quick family favorites and am only trying out one new recipe that I know from the get-go that I don’t have time to prepare as written.  Ready?

 Pork Dumplings Deconstructed, Sushi House Salad and Dressing.  My kids love gyoza, but they take a lot of time.  Serving the filling over rice is a delicious compromise! 

Online Menu Planning at MealMixer.comAngel Hair Pasta with Italian Sausage and Herbs, Caesar Salad.   For some reason my kids – even though they see me cook – think that this pasta recipe is really fancy.  It’s not as easy as dumping a jar of sauce over pasta, but it is close.   If you’re following a balanced diet the low fat sausage helps to keep you satisfied longer.  I don’t use the anchovy in the salad dressing due to personal preferences (I just use the recipe editor and save my own version), and am finding more and more that making my own salad dressing is nicer than having a whole refrigerator shelf full of partially used salad dressings.

SaturdayParty Time!  Celebrating my husband’s 50th birthday.  He still hasn’t decided what food will make him happy.
